18th Annual Holiday Gift Collection for Strengthen Our Sisters

Every year for the last 18 years we have been fortunate enough to collect new gifts for the women and children at a local battered women's shelter so that they may experience a little bit of holiday joy during an otherwise difficult time of their lives and this year is no different.

Suggested items for the children include crayons, markers, coloring books, puzzle books, reading books, board games, card games, dolls, trucks, and matchbox cars for the children to play with.  Children's socks, PJs, hats, gloves, scarves and clothing are also welcome.  

Suggested items for the women include pampering items such as shower gel, body lotion, nail files, nail polish, bathrobes, PJs and slippers.  Women's socks, PJs, hats, gloves, scarves and clothing are also welcome.

Additional items such as bath towels, wash cloths, twin sheets, pillows, laundry detergent, dish detergent, Lysol wipes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lip balm are all welcome.

All items may be dropped off at the store between Friday, December 1st and Tuesday, December 19th.  They will be delivered to the shelter on Wednesday, December 20th and will be distributed as needed during the holiday season.
